Marty Recognitions

The Marconi Society, a branch of the National Association of Broadcasters, announced Marty as the winner of its prestigious Marconi Award on April 3, 2013.  The award, per the Marconi Society,  “is given each year to one or more scientists and engineers who – like radio inventor Guglielmo Marconi – achieve advances in communications and information technology for the social, economic and cultural development of all humanity.”  Ironically, Marty was named the 2013 winner of the Marconi Award on the 40th anniversary of the first cellular phone call – April 13, 1973.
