The Myth of Spectrum Scarcity, Position Paper by Martin Cooper – March 2010

In March, 2010 Marty wrote a position paper entitled “The Myth of Spectrum Scarcity” which argued that continual reallocations of spectrum to mobile networks would not solve the so-called spectrum shortage in the long term. Technologies are available that can allow more efficient use of existing spectrum, which is the only way to resolve the perceived shortage of spectrum for mobile networks.
